Abby Russell’s Sticks & Stones Comedy Club in Southampton will present the "The Hamptons' Best Comedy Show With Rob White & Comedy All Stars" every Wednesday until the end of August.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and show starts at 8 p.m. The club is located at the Southampton Cultural Center, at 25 Pond Lane in Southampton Village.

When asked about the essence of his comedy, White explained that he is a fast-paced, high-energy comic that focuses on observations regarding life's craziness. He also talks about his upbringing, saying, “I was raised in the unique environment of having a tattoo artist father who had me learning to tattoo at the age of 13, a career that I still do, as well as comedy.”

His comedy heroes s are most interesting. “I'm a big fan of comics like Doug Stanhope, Lenny Bruce, Denis Leary as well as the classic dress look of guys like Jackie Gleason and Lou Costello," he said.

It’s a tough thing doing stand-up comedy, White said.

But, he said, "When you get it right and the audience is in the palm of your hand, it's magic. It's like being a sorcerer, and you are conducting the audience to laugh at your command. It's a high that you can't get any other way. I love it.”

When the subject turned to Abby Russell’s “Sticks & Stones Comedy Club,” White said, "Sticks and Stones” is a great club and been an awesome place to perform. They truly understand and love standup comedy, which has allowed myself and other comics to be extremely comfortable and explore our craft. Performing at Sticks and Stones has given me the freedom and confidence that continues to make me a better comic. I'm better for having the opportunity to perform there.”

White is from Selden and has lived there his whole life, except for six months when he lived in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He currently owns a home in Selden because, "it's great to live in the middle of the island with easy access to the Hamptons and New York City."
