Sag Harbor Elementary Hosts 'Wax Museum'

Students posed as historic people in art, history, science, entertainment and business.

The gym at Sag Harbor Elementary School was transformed into a ”wax museum” on Friday for the 19th annual fifth-grade Wax Museum project, following the theme “Grateful for Their Contributions.”

During the event, students and visitors toured the museum, which featured fifth-grade students posing as historic people in art, history, science, entertainment and business.

Students represented figures such as Abraham Lincoln, Shirley Temple, Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs, Betsy Ross, Abigail Adams and John Lennon.

The studnets, who were dressed in costume and surrounded by period artifacts, had to stand as still as they could, posing as if they were a wax figure in a museum.

In additon, the students also wrote essays, which were displayed in the museum.
