Snow Timeline Shifts; Hour-By-Hour Forecast

Sorry, snow lovers. Less than an inch of the white stuff is now expected to accumulate on Long Island Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Winter weather advisories have been issued for parts of the Hudson Valley, New Jersey and Connecticut, but the island will be largely spared. The timing of any snow has also changed and that's good news for commuters.

Earlier forecasts had called for snow and sleet during the Monday evening commute, but now sleet has been eliminated from the forecast and any accumulating snow is expected to hold off until Monday night.
