SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Southampton High School athletes have been honored: The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has once again named Southampton High School a Scholar-Athlete School of Excellence for the 2022 to 2023 school year.
To earn the recognition, 75 percent of the school’s varsity athletic teams were required to hold a GPA above 90 percent, the district said.
Southampton is among 219 schools to receive the designation.
