Southampton High School's Class Of 2023 Graduates In Joyful Ceremony

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Proud parents gathered in Southampton Friday to watch their children's commencement exercise: The members of Southampton High School’s Class of 2023 were presented with their diplomas during the district’s 130th annual graduation.

During the ceremony, speakers offered congratulations and words of wisdom. High School Principal Dr. Brian Zahn praised the graduates for their dedication.

"Graduating from high school is no easy feat — please do not take it for granted," he said. “I appreciate all the hard work and legacies you left behind. I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors."

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Nicholas Dyno also addressed the graduates. "By showing compassion, you can make a positive difference to those around you," he said. "Be a good person, give back to your community, be inclusive and be determined to change the world."

Among those representing the graduating class at the podium were Dhivya Sampath, who spoke on behalf of the summa cum laude graduates, and Paige Garvin, who spoke for the student body. Each shared memories of high school and offered thoughtful advice.

The ceremony also featured performances by senior musicians, followed by the presentation of diplomas.
