According to an article in the New York Post, the home was sold by natural gas billionaire Michael S. Smith and his wife, Iris; the home was reportedly the smaller of the pair's two East End abodes, with the couple purchasing a $110 million property in East Hampton in 2016, the New York Post said.

Other features of the beautiful space include floor to ceiling pure glass windows and doors throughout, which create a flood of natural light; the upstairs boasts expansive living spaces with unparalleled ocean views. The B and B Italia kitchen includes everything needed for the ultimate cooking experience. All bathrooms in the home are equipped with custom limestone sinks and Boffi fixtures, as well modern and open showers, with no detail left ignored, Douglas Elliman said.
