Toddler, 2, Found Floating Unconscious In North Haven Pool: Police

He remained hospitalized on Monday, police say.

NORTH HAVEN, NY — A 2-year-old boy was found floating unconscious in a pool in North Haven Sunday, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place at about 12:28 p.m.; a call came in about the toddler, who was found in a pool on Sunset Beach Road, police said.

Southampton Town police, Sag Harbor Village police and Sag Harbor EMS responded to the scene and performed CPR on the child, police said. He was transported via ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and subsequently transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital for further treatment, which was continuing as of Monday afternoon, police said.

Southampton Town police detectives, as well as code enforcement, are continuing the investigation, police said.
