Town of Southampton Awards Grant For Sea Grass Planting

Members of a local club received a $500 grant from the Town of Southampton.

Members of the K-Kids Club at Hampton Bays Elementary School recently kicked-off a project to help protect area beaches by planting beach grass in order to help the environment.

In order to fund the project, the service club will use a $500 Town of Southampton Youth as Resources Community Service Challenge grant.

The students were awarded the grant during the March Hampton Bays School District Board of Education Meeting.
