"Who's Next Karaoke" to Celebrate First Year at North Sea Tavern

Big time "Karaoke" fun this Friday night April 20, from 10 pm until 2 am at North Sea Tavern, 1271 North Sea Road in Southampton.

I am a huge karaoke fan. When I lived in Montauk before I married I did it perhaps 5 days a week all over the east end. It was then, 15 years ago that I met JB Barrett who many times sang with me. Fast forward 15 years and JB is now hosting "Who's Next Karaoke," with Adam Webb at The North Sea Tavern. This Friday they celebrate the completion of their first year at North Sea Tavern from 10 pm until 2 am. Jon Perrozi the owner of the North Sea Tavern will have bartenders Tee-Tan Sean and Jon behind the bar to give everyone the best of service. Although "Who's Next Karaoke" have been at North Sea Tavern on and off for three years this Friday will complete one full weekly year of continuous karaoke.

The last time I stopped in to sing at The North Sea Tavern the place was really rocking and I was glad to see JB having so much fun singing with so many of the guests. He is a great host because he does karaoke because he loves it. When JB is not working he can be found singing karaoke at Old Stove Pub in Wainscott, Liars Saloon in Montauk, and on the right night at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett.

For all you karaoke junkies the plan moving forward at North Sea Tavern is having karaoke every Friday night all year round with a bonus second night of karaoke on Tuesdays from Memorial Day until Labor day!

So polish up your "go-to Karaoke songs" and get over and join the local camaraderie that has become the tradition of east end karaoke. When I was single, perhaps down on my luck, post a bad divorce, karaoke saved my soul. I will forever thank Jim and Nanci LaGarenne, Harry "Harryokie" LaGarenne, Helen "Diva" McGuire and R.I.P. Big Rich Einsidler for playing and finding songs I could sing alone and with others. I love them for how they came through for me back then.

I am looking forward to some great karaoke during the summer season of 2018! But until then get over to the North Sea Tavern this Friday night to congratulate JB Barrett and Adam Webb.
