Woman Asleep At Wheel Accused Of Driving While Impaired By Drugs: PD

FLANDERS, NY — A Calverton woman was arrested after she was caught asleep at the wheel while impaired by drugs in Flanders Monday night, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, at about 11:52 p.m., a call came in about someone sleeping behind the wheel of a running vehicle in the area of Flanders Road and Oak Avenue.

Marcia Lynn Ekster, 43, was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, police said. She was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
