Today’s opportunity is American Soil for Soldiers Project for United for the Troops. The organization wants to let soldiers overseas know that they have not been forgotten with Project Soil. Volunteers are needed to place a spoonful of American soil into a tiny baggie, seal it and staple it to the inside of hand-written card alongside the words “Here is a bit of American soil so you don’t feel so far from home.” For more information and instructions, or to express interest, go here.
