25 Days Of Holiday Volunteering — Day 7: Kitchen Prep

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — 'Tis the season for giving back to your community. There are a number of ways that you and your family can help others through the holidays.

Today’s opportunity is Kitchen Prep Crew (Monday Afternoons) for Second Chance Foods Inc. in Brewster. This in-person volunteer opportunity is for Monday afternoons helping prepare donated produce and other rescued food for weekly cook days. The prep work will later be used to create hundreds of meals for neighbors in need and distributed in Second Chance Foods’ community-supported nutrition boxes in collaboration with the Carmel Baptist Church.
