Celebrating our shared musical heritage, the Summer Ensemble of the Putnam Chorale will present songs written and arranged by American composers and lyricists.
Spanning multiple American genres, from patriotic to popular, the program will include Charles Ives’s choral works, Peter Wilhousky’s stirring arrangement of The Battle Hymn of the Republic and Randall Thompson’s The Testament of Freedom. In addition, classics from the American Songbook like I’ve Got Rhythm, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and other popular songs will round out the program.
Tickets are available at the door, or online in advance at the link below. $18 for adults; $15 for seniors. Children 12 and under are free.
