Cleaning Up After Christmas: Southeast E-Waste Drop-Off, Tree Pickup

If Santa left you some new tech gadgets, you can safely and easily dispose of the old ones. Here's how.

SOUTHEAST, NY — Town officials have scheduled three special garbage collection days in January.

Take advantage of the E-waste drop-off day Saturday. You can take things to the Highway Department, 10 Palmer Road in Brewster, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Haul Christmas trees to the curb by 6 a.m. Jan. 10 or 24 to have them picked up. Those Wednesdays are the days for holiday tree collection, according to the 2024 Suburban Collection Calendar.

E-waste

The Town of Southeast E-waste Disposal Days at 10 Palmer Road are for use by Town Residents ONLY. Proof of residence will be required. A driver’s license is preferred.

Without prior approval, there is a limit of 6 items per household and items must weigh less than 50 lbs. Items over 50 lbs. will require a $25 fee.
