Giving Tuesday is a global initiative that brings people together to harness the potential of collective generosity. Fortunately for folks in the Southeast-Brewster area, there’s no shortage of organizations nearby that could greatly benefit from your support.

Here are four outstanding organizations in the Southeast-Brewster area. Please consider volunteering or donating to them for Giving Tuesday and beyond.


  1. Green Chimneys — Green Chimneys helps young people to maximize their full potential by providing various residential, educational, clinical and recreational services. They foster a safe and supportive environment that nurtures connections with their families, the community, animals and nature through animal-assisted therapy and nature-based educational services for children with special needs. Second Chance Foods — Second Chance Foods recovers unsold or unserved foods that are still nutritionally beneficial and distributes them to community outreach organizations that provide meals for those in need.   3. SPACE on Ryder Farm — SPACE on Ryder Farm is a residency program and organic farm located on a family homestead founded in 1795.
