UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Hundreds of students at an Upper West Side elementary school have to quarantine after exposure to a teacher who tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report.

The New York Post reports almost half the student population at PS 87 William Sherman had to switch to remote learning because they had been in close proximity to the teacher.

School sources told the Post more than a dozen classrooms had been in contact with the teacher.
