UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The hit-television show "Only Murders in the Building" has cast a light on Upper West Side architecture, and a star actress just gave a tour of her apartment within the address where the series filmed significant portions.

Amanda Seyfried, known by most from "Mama Mia" and "Mean Girls," recently let Architectural Digest into her home for a tour of her temporary apartment within the Apthorp Building on Broadway between West 78th and 79th streets.

The Apthorp is a 12-story building constructed in 1908 that was marketed as the world's largest apartment building at the times of its completion. Over the years, it has served as home to Nora Ephron, Joseph Heller, Al Pachino, Cyndi Lauper, Conan O'Brien, Rosie O'Donnell and many more.

The most recent apartment sales within the Upper West Side building range from $800,000 to $12 million, according to StreetEasy.

While The Belnord Building on West 86th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam is the exterior of the fictional address in "Only Murders in the Building," apartments within the Apthorp were used to film many of the interior scenes.

In an Architectural Digest video posted on June 27 that has now been viewed nearly three million times, Seyfried leads the publication through her Apthorp apartment that she has tried to infuse with a "farmhouse vibe."

"Stunning original arched windows create a bright, airy space enhanced by light oak features, and Amanda’s love of antique silhouettes paired with modern pieces offers an eclectic yet zen feel, perfect for relaxing after a busy day in the city," reads a description of the Upper West Side home by Architectural Digest.

Seyfried, who is staying in the apartment while she works on Broadway, points out such elements as a velvet sofa, an Etsy round wood coffee table, a Cumberland sconce lighting fixture, a checkered Moroccan rug, coral and tusk sparklers pillows, and more.
