Summer time is here and that means Open Streets on the Upper West Side. Here's where and when certain roads are closed to traffic.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Summer time in New York City now means the return of Open Streets season, and there are a variety of locations on the Upper West Side.

For those who might have forgotten during the winter months or are new to New York City, Open Streets are a collection of blocks that become restricted to cars and instead prioritize pedestrians, bikers, outdoor dining and activities.

Here are the Open Streets to know about on the Upper West Side.

Columbus Avenue Open Street

  • Columbus Avenue from Cathedral Parkway to West 106th Street
  • Community Partner: Columbus Amsterdam Business Improvement District
  • Full Closure
  • Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Amsterdam Avenue Open Street

  • Amsterdam Avenue from West 106th Street to Cathedral Parkway
  • Community Partner: Columbus Amsterdam Business Improvement District
  • Full Closure
  • Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

West 103rd Street Open Street

  • West 103rd Street from Riverside Drive to Amsterdam Avenue

West 75th Street Open Street

West 74th Street Open Street
