Local Beer Bar Chain Opens On Columbus Avenue, Expanding To UWS

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A compact and fully stocked beer haven has just opened its doors on the Upper West Side, offering a streamlined experience for purchasing and enjoying a wide range of brews.

Run, a bar and bottle shop, opened its third location at 547 Columbus Avenue, between West 86th and 87th Streets.

Owners and operators John Hyun, a former commercial beer brewer and Larry Good, a restauranter, established the first Beer Run location in Chelsea at the end of 2018, and they have since extended their presence by opening an outpost in Harlem.

Beer Run offers a diverse selection of canned and bottled beers, available for enjoyment on-site or for takeout, with many craft beers on tap at all three locations.

Although Beer Run prides itself on offering a wide-ranging selection of beers sourced from various corners of the globe, it remains firmly anchored in its New York roots, specializing in locally crafted brews.

Beer Run also hosts complimentary weekly tastings and various events throughout the year at all of their locations.

Additionally, the bar aims to establish a 'Beer Run Club,' a running group open to all, meeting weekly in Central Park, followed by a discounted beer, reported first by ILoveTheUpperWestSide.

At the Columbus Avenue location, Beer Run features both indoor seating at the bar and outdoor tables. They also offer a selection of bar snacks and pretzels to complement their beer offerings.

The bar is currently open from 12 to 11 p.m. every day, owners said on social media.
