UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A major in-person book fair is returning to the Upper West Side this weekend for its 35th rendition after having to go online in 2020 due to the pandemic.

The Goddard Riverside Book Fair will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days at its UWS headquarters at 593 Columbus Avenue (West 88th Street).

The popular yearly neighborhood event will offer brand-new books for half price on both days.

"Shoppers tell us the Book Fair isn't just about books — it's about seeing friends and enjoying a holiday tradition," said Goddard Riverside Executive Director Roderick L. Jones, in a news release. "We're excited to welcome the community back to browse the tables."

Admission into the fair is free and all shoppers must show proof of a COVID vaccination or a negative PCR test within the last 72 hours to enter. Additionally, there will be a one-way flow through the building, and masks will be required.
