Man Jumps To Death From Upper West Side Building, Police Say

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 29-year-old man was found dead in the courtyard of an Upper West Side building Wednesday morning, police said.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was found in the side courtyard of 65 West 90th Street, between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West, at approximately 11:41 a.m., police said.

Police would not confirm many details about the incident, citing the ongoing investigation, but said that his injuries were "indicative of falling from an elevated position."

An NYPD spokesperson told Patch that he is believed to have jumped from the 23rd floor of the apartment building.

Police stated that the official cause of death still needs to be determined by the medical examiner.
