UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A popular kosher food truck is solidifying its footprint on the Upper West Side by establishing a permanent brick-and-mortar location.

Moshe’s Falafel is slated to launch at 142 West 83rd Street, nestled between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues, following Memorial Day weekend.

Since its inception in 1981, Moshe’s Falafel has gained widespread acclaim for its Manhattan food trucks, serving up a mix of kosher Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on vegan and vegetarian options.

Company founder Moshe, who was born in Kibbutz Galuyot in Israel, bought his first wagon to try his luck at selling falafel on 46th Street in the Diamantaires area of New York after moving to the city.

Now, over four decades later, Moshe’s Falafel has grown significantly, running two food trucks. The original truck is stationed on West 46th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues, while the second truck can be found on Broadway, close to Times Square.
