UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 4,000 square-foot space for all things soccer is coming to the Upper West Side from the owners of the popular neighborhood store Upper 90.

Crossbar NYC will take over the space formerly occupied by the Parlour at 250 West 86th St.

The two-level location will have a full-service cafe offering coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, an event space complete with a mini-soccer field, an Upper 90 retail store, and televisions running with the best games of the day.

The new business is headed by the same owners of Upper 90, a soccer store selling balls, cleats, jerseys, and more, which was on West 94th and Amsterdam for years before recently moving to 2345 Broadway (near West 86th St.).

Owner Zac Rubin told ILoveTheUpperWestSide that the Upper 90 storefront will be closed and consolidated with Crossbar NYC.

Rubin added to ILoveTheUpperWestSide that he expects to open the business in the next couple of weeks and that the new dining room will hold 40 to 50 people.

To make things even more exciting, the popular soccer show "Men In Blazers" commented on Crossbar NYC's Instagram post with an American flag emoji.

The opening of the soccer haven on the Upper West Side comes just months before the 2022 World Cup, a tournament that the United States qualified for on Wednesday night.
