New Veterinarian Office Opens Its Doors On The Upper West Side

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Cat, dog and other pet owners on the Upper West Side will be interested to learn that a brand new membership-based veterinarian office just opened in the neighborhood.

Small Door opened its state-of-the-art, 2,920 square-foot facility at the end of May at 667 Columbus Ave. — between West 92nd and 93rd streets.

The new local vet's practice comes fully equipped with dental and surgical suits, along with exam rooms for more ordinary checkups.

"Small Door’s approach to veterinary care starts with ensuring members receive a personalized, integrative approach to managing their pet’s health," reads a press release from Small Door.

There are two types of memberships you can sign up for — Access Membership and Premium Plus Membership.

Access Membership: The membership comes with 24/7 telemedicine availability. Additional services are billed as you go. $8 a month for cats and $12 a month for dogs.

Premium Plus Membership: This package includes more services like exams, vaccines, blood work, and preventative medicines. $74/month for cats and $89/month for dogs.

Small Door only offers care for dogs and cats and does not accept appointments without the person first signing up for a membership option.

Small Door already has locations in the West Village, Williamsburg, and Gramercy. After a $20 million investment into the business in 2021, it now has plans to open 44 locations by 2025.
