UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Musician Suzanne Vega recently sold her longtime Upper West Side home, but she isn't leaving the neighborhood.

The singer who released a plethora of hit songs during the 1980s, including "Luka" and "Marlene on the Wall," just sold her apartment for $1.8 million at 37 W. 93rd St., Crain's NY was first to report.

Vega had lived in the UWS apartment for 17 years, and is continuing her Upper West Side residency with a move to a rental on Central Park West.

Vega is a neighborhood stalwart. She grew up on the Upper West Side and attended Fiorello LaGuardia High School, before going to Barnard College, according to her website.

One of her best known songs, "Tom's Diner," was inspired by the actual Tom's Restaurant at West 112th Street and Broadway that is a popular late night spot for Colombia and Barnard students.
