UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — It's time for brunch, finally.

That's a capital "B" actually, because as the longtime signage outside of 2210 Broadway has been reminding passerbys for nearly two years, this new restaurant's name is simply "Brunch."

"Almost time for Brunch," the restaurant's windows promised since at least July 2022.

The new spot offers an array of breakfast — and brunch — classics on their menu, like omelettes, egg sandwiches and plates, soups, salads, pancakes and french toast and sandwiches, including one that promises "thick slice steamed pastrami from the old country."

Owner Robert told the West Side Rag that he runs other eateries downtown and described the menu as "comfort food."

Previously, the space was home to the New Wave Cafe, a popular diner which opened there in 1993 and was frequented by celebrity regulars like L.A. Confidential’s Ron Rifkin and the late Eli Wallach, according to I Love The Upper West Side.

New Wave Cafe closed in June 2020 after nearly 30 years.
