The biggest name on the ballot was Nadler, who triumphed Tuesday night after defeating Rep. Carolyn Maloney and Suraj Patel earlier this summer in the Democratic primary.

Nadler is a longtime Upper West Side resident and the current chair of the House Judiciary Committee.

In the other Upper West Side race including multiple candidates, Hoylman defeated Danzilo and Bobrick to represent the newly formed State Senate District 47.

Hoylman is the current state senator for District 27, which represented a very small chunk of the Upper West Side, but also was redistricted when the political boundary maps were redrawn this summer.

The longtime state senator again took down Danzilo, who ran and lost in the Democratic primary, but was on the ballot again Tuesday night under the Parent Party.

Danzilo took her first venture into politics last year when she came in second place to Gale Brewer to replace Helen Rosenthal in the Upper West Side City Council seat.

Danzilo listed safe and clean streets, climate change, and combatting mental health and homelessness as her three biggest issues.

Also on the ballot is Bobrick, who ran under the Medical Freedom Party.

The first time candidate listed his No. 1 priority as creating a "healthier city and state - physically, mentally, economically," and that he wants to secure the "God-given rights of medical freedom."

The third Upper West Side race of the night is Assembly District 67, but just as the primary, no candidate decided to take on longtime incumbent Linda Rosenthal. Rosenthal has held the seat since 2006.
