It was the last home Holiday lived in before her death in 1959, and also where she released her famous album "Lady in Satin" in 1958.

Holiday won four Grammy Awards and is a member of the Grammy Hall of Fame, the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Her song "Strange Fruit," which protests the lynching of Black Americans, is included by most music publications within lists of the best songs ever.

After getting purchased in 2017 for $9.475 million, the buyer has renovated the home that now spans more than 6,300 square feet, has six levels, seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a curated backyard garden.

The home originally built in 1910 also has six fireplaces, a screening room, a wine cellar, and a mud room.

The home also comes with a celebrity broker — Kelly Killoren Bensimon — who appeared on multiple seasons of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New York City." Bensimon recently started working for the real estate firm Douglas Elliman.
