Lights Go Out For Holiday Show At Jones Beach On Sunday

Jones Beach's popular Magic of Lights show was extended this holiday season, but wraps up for another year this Sunday, Jan. 10.

WANTAGH, NY — If you are looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend, why not check out the Magic of Lights show at Jones Beach State Park this weekend?

The popular light show, which is sponsored by New York Community Bank, has been extended through the holiday season and will be closing down for another year this Sunday, Jan. 10, according to the attraction’s website. The show includes a drive-thru experience featuring fantastical displays of holiday lights, including a tunnel of lights, and the Toyota Mega Tree Spectacular with over 240 lights.

The show runs from 5 to 11 p.m.

At the light show you can also find classic holiday refreshments like hot chocolate and holiday cookies at ‘The North Pole.’ There are also mainstays like soda, hotdogs, pretzels, buttered popcorn, and movie theater candy. Other lighter fare includes water, juice, and kettle corn.

Tickets, which are available at the gate only, run $35 for standard cars, $60 for limos, and $100 for busses. Jones Beach State Park is located at 895 Bay Parkway. From New York City and Westchester, the park can be accessed by taking the L.I.E. east or Grand Central Parkway east to the Northern State Parkway east, then the Wantagh Parkway south. From eastern Long Island, the park can be accessed by taking Northern or Southern state parkways west to Wantagh State Parkway south. Signs for the event will guide you to the show.
