Popular Inwood Coffee Shop Opens In Washington Heights Food Hall

Buunni Coffee opened this week within the NorthEnd Food Hall near West 183rd Street and Broadway. Here's what to know.

UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — A longtime popular Inwood coffee shop opened an outpost within a Washington Heights food hall this week.

Buunni Coffee opened Wednesday within the NorthEnd Food Hall at 4300 Broadway, near West 183rd Street.

"Thank you for an amazing first day of Buunni Coffee at NorthEnd Food Hall!" Buunni Coffee wrote in a Facebook post. "Can't wait to welcome you all here in the coming days."

The coffee shop within the uptown space will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Buunni Coffee is a family-owned coffee company specializing in Ethiopian coffee in Washington Heights and Inwood.

It has four locations in Upper Manhattan.

  • Inwood: 4961 Broadway
  • Pinehurst: 213 Pinehurst
  • GWB Bus Terminal: 4211 Broadway
  • Buunni Northend: 4300 Broadway

Buunni Coffee is operating within the NorthEnd Food Hall along with La Chula, Harlem Public, NorthEnd Bar, and WaHizza.

"Think of our food hall as a cafeteria! You can place your food orders at any vendor's stalls, grab a beer, cocktail or soft drink at the bar and grab a seat wherever you like," reads a description of the food hall that opened in 2023 after a four-year build.

Buunni Coffee's food hall location serves up an assortment of pastries, sandwiches, salads, desserts, espressos, coffees, and more.

The space also has free wifi.

It is Washington Heights' first food hall.
