WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Any uptowners ever want to check out more of the Bronx in a fun and organized way?

Well, you can do exactly that with a bike ride and tour that is kicking off from Washington Heights on Tuesday.

State Senator Robert Jackson will lead the tour through 12 significant sites in the Bronx, bringing together elected officials, community organizers, residents, and faith based groups.

The bike ride will set off from 165th Street and Edgecombe Avenue at the High Bridge Bike patch.

The ride will go from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Here are some of the Bronx stops to expect.

  • Roberto Clemente State Park
  • Bronx Community College
  • Kingsbridge Armory
  • Lehman College
  • Kingsbridge Heights Community Center
  • Kingsbridge Public Library
  • Abrar Masjid Mosque
  • St. Stephen's Church

"This exciting adventure will not only promote community engagement but also showcase the beauty and significance of the Bronx portion of District 31," reads a news release from Jackson's office.

In terms of the expected weather on Tuesday, it's clear skies with a high of 84 and a low of 66.

The tour is free to attend, just arrive at the Washington Heights starting point before 10 a.m.
