Breeze Airways Expansion Plans Include New Direct Westchester Flights

Two new non-stop flights from Westchester County Airport to Florida destinations will begin service in October and November.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Breeze Airways' ambitious expansion plans include 18 new routes and new destinations.

And Westchester County Airport features prominently in the airline's strategy.

New routes from Westchester County Airport will include service to to Sarasota-Bradenton Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, starting October 31, and service to Daytona Beach Airport on Thursdays and Sundays, starting November 14.

"With the addition of Newark, Breeze now serves four New York City area airports while continuing to expand our footprint across the U.S.," Breeze Airways CEO David Neeleman said. "By connecting the dots between underserved city pairs, we are giving travelers more options than ever to fly affordably and comfortably to over 60 destinations across 30 states on more than 200 nonstop flights."

As part of the expansion, Breeze Airways, the low-cost carrier known for offering service between smaller airports across the country, announced 18 new nonstop routes nationally, adding service from five new cities: Newark, Daytona Beach, Erie, South Bend and Wilmington.

The new additions mean the the airline now serves 64 cities across 30 states on more than 200 nonstop routes.

Although a low-fare carrier, Breeze was recognized by Travel + Leisure readers as one of the Top 5 Best U.S. Airlines for the second consecutive year. The airline offers guests both bundled and à la carte options known as Nice, Nicer and, on flights operated with the Airbus A220-300, Nicest.

Breeze doesn’t charge change or cancellation fees up to 15 minutes prior to departure and offers other benefits such as free family seating.

The carrier began service in May 2021. Founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, Breeze operates a fleet of Embraer 190/195 and Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with a focus on flights between secondary airports, bypassing hubs for shorter travel times.

  • From Akron-Canton to Sarasota-Bradenton (Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting November 20).
  • From Charleston to New York-Newark (Thursdays and Sundays, starting November 14).
  • From Daytona Beach Westchester County (Thursdays and Sundays, starting November 14), Hartford (Thursdays and Sundays, starting February 13, 2025) Raleigh-Durham (Thursdays and Sundays, starting February 13, 2025) and Providence(Mondays and Fridays, starting February 14, 2025).
  • From Erie to Orlando (Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting November 6).
  • From Fort Myers to South Bend (Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting February 5, 2025) and Wilmington (Mondays and Fridays, starting February 14, 2025).
  • From Hartford to Daytona Beach (Thursdays and Sundays, starting February 13, 2025) and Wilmington (Thursdays and Sundays, starting February 13, 2025).
  • From New York-Islip to Sarasota-Bradenton (Thursdays and Sundays, starting November 21).
  • From New York-Newark to Charleston (Thursdays and Sundays, starting November 14) and Orlando, FL (One stop/no change of plane BreezeThru service, Thursdays and Sundays, starting November 14).
