SOMERS, NY — It looks like the driver who crashed into a house on Muscoot River Road will be okay, but building inspectors will have to decide if the house under construction is safe.

Just before 12:30 p.m.on Wednesday, Somers Fire and EMS were called to the house where a car had crashed through the exterior walls. The first units arrived on the scene to not only confirm that a car went into a house, but also that the house was luckily still under construction, and not occupied.

The driver was treated and removed from the car with injuries described as "non-life-threatening."
