Gunman Wounds 5 At IFIXUGLY Barber Shop In Old Brooklyn

1) Five people were shot β€” two barbers and three customers β€” Thursday afternoon at the IFIXUGLY barber shop in Old Brooklyn. One of the wounded is in critical condition with a chest wound. The owner Tim Gillespie said 30 people were in the Cleveland shop at the corner of State Road and Saratoga. β€œThe way he opened that shop door and the way he was shooting, he didn’t care about the lives of nobody. They didn’t care, man,” Gillespie said. The wounded, ranging in age from 19 to 34, were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. Police said the shooter fled in a red Toyota Corolla. Many pro athletes, including Guardians JosΓ© Ramirez, have had haircuts at the shop.

2) A Cleveland police officer texted an ex-girlfriend a nude photo of herself and threatened to send an explicit video to her employer to pressure her into getting an abortion, according to Division of Police disciplinary records. One year ago, Hassan Ali was being heralded as a hero for helping to find a kidnapped baby. Now he's off the force, resigning in the midst of an investigation into his behavior. The city accused him of lying several times about texting the photo to the woman.

A 20-foot living tree built from plant materials will greet visitors. 4) Laura Valentine sued Cedar Point to get a refund on her 2020 season pass, which became unusable for part of the season because the park was shut down at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cedar Point typically opens in May but did not open until July of that year. Valentine, of Mayfield Heights, filed a suit to get her money back. This week, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled in favor of Cedar Point, saying the park did not need to issue any refunds. The park did extend season passes through 2021, however.

5) The Fox 8 I-Team recently obtained video footage of suspended Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson being ticketed for driving 97 mph in a 70 mph zone on the Ohio Turnpike in Sandusky this summer. The June 11 stop was recorded on dashboard and body cameras. Watson paid the ticket a few days later. The state patrol blurred the faces of his passengers, and a small dog, before releasing the video to the media.
