Donate New, Gently Used Shoes During Cleveland Police Event

The shoes will be distributed to the community's homeless.

CLEVELAND β€” Cleveland police will try to put the community's needy into new shoes on Saturday.

The department is hosting its "Fill the Truck" event at the Cleveland Patrolmen's Association, 1303 W. 58th Street. Police will accept donations of new or gently used shoes from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In a flier for the event, Cleveland Police said they would like to collect 3,000 pairs of shoes during the event.
