1) Myles Garrett β€” who suffered a gashed hand, strained biceps and sprained shoulder in a rollover accident β€” will try to live up to his "Superman" nickname and play in the Cleveland Browns' game against the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday. Garrett flipped his Porsche on State Road in Medina Monday around 3 p.m. when he swerved to miss an animal on the road and lost control on the wet pavement. He was on his way home from practice in Berea. The car flipped several times, according to witnesses. Garrett and a woman who was riding in his car were taken to separate Cleveland Clinic hospitals and treated for their injuries.

2) Carly Capek β€” attacked in her west side Cleveland home on Sept. 6 β€” tried to escape through a window and screamed for help. Her killer pulled her back inside, where he beat and stabbed the 38-year-old mother of four. Cleveland police didn't arrive on scene for 30 minutes after multiple 911 calls. Capek's family wants to know why. Their attorneys believe had police arrived sooner, they could have saved Capek's life. β€œThe city of Cleveland should always have the proper amount of people, proper amount of cars, proper money, everything. Come to call me and tell me we’re sorry. But we didn’t have the facilities or the people that we needed to respond quickly enough is not an answer," said James Sidelka, Carly’s father. "That’s disgusting. It’s deplorable.”

3) Tamara McLoyd, 19, who shot and killed 25-year-old Cleveland police officer Shane Bartek on New Year's Eve as he tried to disarm her during a carjacking, was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday. Judge John P. O'Donnell also sentenced McLoyd for several armed robberies. The woman has a lengthy rap sheet. She will be eligible for parole 50-some years from now. "You threatened, you stole, you robbed, and killed without compunction," the judge said as he handed down her punishment. Officer Bartek's twin sister, Summer Bartek, also made a statement at the sentencing. "I didn't get to say a proper goodbye to my twin the night he died," she said as she wept. "When she shot Shane, she shot me, too."
