1) When Joe Thomas was drafted No. 3 overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2007, he went fishing instead of going to the NFL draft spectacle. On Sunday, the retired left tackle will show up at FirstEnergy Stadium with his family for induction into the Browns Legends program. The toughest of tough guys and a 10-time Pro Bowler, he played for 10,363 consecutive snaps. “This is a really special step for me to be recognized by the organization and put my name amongst the greats of whoever wore a Cleveland Browns uniform,” Thomas said, “which when you look at all the Rings of Honor and the Legends clubs throughout the NFL, the Browns are almost incomparable.” Next year, Thomas is eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. He retired in 2018.

For the last six decades, she has worked at Corky & Lenny's, the famous deli her husband Sanford "Corky" Kurland started in 1956 with his partner Lenny Kaden. "I’ve always worked and I’ve always helped out, and I love people and people know me because I’ve been here that long," Kurland said. "And I think that’s what keeps me going." Her son Kenny now runs the restaurant, but she still works six days a week.

3) A caregiver at Sweet Kiddles daycare in Avon Lake is facing felony charges after a toddler in her care suffered a broken leg. Video shows the woman, Emily Coghlan, picking the 15-month-old boy up by one arm and swinging him away from her. “Like, she just dropped him. Throws him. Throws him. Let’s be real on that,” said the boy's mom, Nadine Porcelli. “She throws him on the floor and then doesn’t do anything about it. Just walks away. And he’s trying to get up this whole time and nobody’s doing anything about it.”
