1) New video released Thursday shows Myles Garrett in the back of an ambulance answering a state trooper's questions about his Monday rollover crash. Garrett said he was driving 65 mph when he lost control of his Porsche and left the road. The speed limit on that stretch of State Road in Medina County is 45 mph. Garrett was cited for failure to control his vehicle. Witnesses who stopped to help said Garrett, 26, and his passenger, Yiana Tjotjos, 23, of Rocky River, were able to get out of the wrecked car under their own power. Garrett returned to the Browns facility in Berea Thursday but did not practice.

2) John Mellencamp, balladeer of the everyman, performed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Thursday evening to celebrate the opening of a new permanent exhibit honoring his career. Mellencamp was inducted into the Rock Hall in 2008. The new exhibit includes his 1976 Fender Telecaster guitar, an oil painting by Mellencamp entitled Backbone, the studio tracking chart for "Jack and Diane," and the suit he wore for 2003 promotional photos. These are all part of the Legends of Rock exhibits, which also includes artifacts from Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Stevie Nicks and The Roots.

3) Employees of the Crocker Park Starbucks voted 7 to 2 on Thursday to unionize, making the Westlake store the fifth in Greater Cleveland to do so. The employees will now talk to national committee members about how to negotiate with the company. Starbucks' corporate headquarters has been reluctant to negotiate with the increasing number of employees who have unionized. "They either come to the table or we threaten to strike," an employee told Sam Allard, reporting for Cleveland Scene.

4) A bus driver for a private school in suburban Lyndhurst was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after witnesses saw her school bus weaving on I-271, driving over exit ramp lane markers and bumping into curbs. โ€œIโ€™m behind a school bus," said a 911 caller. "I was on the freeway with the school bus. (The driver) was all over the road. Somebody needs to test this driver. Something is wrong.โ€ Diene Ella Hines, 60, of Lakewood, was confronted in the parking lot at Hawken School, a private day school considered to be one of the best in Ohio. Police said she failed a field sobriety test and a blood-alcohol test showed her at more than twice the legal limit.

5) Nala, a female African lion who's lived at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for the last 10 years and matriarch of the pride, was euthanized due to her fading health. She was 18 years old, almost 19, and "ruled the roost" in her time at the zoo. โ€œOver the last few years, Nalaโ€™s age-related physical health issues have been closely monitored by the animal husbandry and veterinary teams. Recently, these health issues progressed past the point of medical management, impacting her mobility and well-being and zoo veterinarians and staff made the difficult decision to euthanize her,โ€ zoo officials wrote on their Facebook page. A female lion in the wild can live 12 to 16 years, while one in captivity can live as long as 25 years.
