SE Tualatin Valley Highway Roadwork Monday, Hillsboro Says Plan Ahead

HILLSBORO, OR — City work crews will gather information about Hillsboro's water system at the intersection of Southeast Tualatin Valley Highway and Southeast Minter Bridge Road starting Tuesday night, officials said Friday. The crews will be doing something called "potholing" between 9 p.m. Monday and 2 a.m. Tuesday, officials said.

While one might think that potholing involves fixing potholes, the process involves digging small holes in the road to find underground utility lines.

City officials said that during those five hours:

  • Southbound traffic on Southeast Minter Bridge Road will be redirected for a short distance by traffic control signs and flaggers.
  • The southbound bicycle lane and sidewalk on Southeast Minter Bridge Road will be closed. The northbound sidewalk will remain open.
  • The TriMet bus stop on Southeast Tualatin Valley Highway and Southeast Minter Bridge Road will remain open.

Water service will not be disrupted during the work, officials said.
