AMBLER, PA — Wondering what to do with that Christmas tree once the holidays are over?

Here's a look at how to get rid of your Christmas tree in Norristown. One thing to note: whether you're recycling your tree or leaving it to be picked up by the municipality, be sure to remove all ornaments and tinsel, and do not wrap your bag in plastic of any kind.

In the meantime, the time between Christmas and New Years is when most Christmas tree fires happen, according to the National Fire Protection Association. The risk remains high after the New Year. Be sure to water your tree to prevent it from drying out and becoming fire-prone.
