The Rotary Club of Blue Bell is pleased to announce the 16th Annual Chefs of the Burbs 2022. The premier fundraising event will be held at the Manor House at Prophecy Creek Park on May 18th, starting at 5:00 pm. Attendees will sample cuisine from local restaurants and enjoy beer, wine, music, and many auction items.

Proceeds from the event will fund local charitable organizations that benefit children and families. Beneficiaries selected this year include Family Promise Montco PA, Wissahickon Valley Boys and Girls Club, Do Better for Steve, Rotoplast, Whitpain Township Parks and Recreation Summer Camps, and the Charitable Foundation of the Rotary Club of Blue Bell.

The Clarence J. Venne Foundation is the platinum sponsor of Chefs of the Burbs 2022. Also supporting the event are gold sponsors Wegmans Montgomeryville and Bethlehem Baptist Church, along with many other community sponsors.

A few exciting changes were made to the event this year. One of which is the location, bringing the event to Whitpain Township, the club’s home base. Another change is the use of software to streamline the registration and auction bidding process. According to Committee Chair Bill Messerschmidt, “We will be utilizing an auction software system so that guests can bid right from their smartphone. No more crowding around auction tables or fumbling with tickets.”

The last Chefs of the Burbs event, held in November 2020, was presented online due to the pandemic. Thanks to attendees, restaurants, and sponsors, the event was a huge success; however, the community is excited to return to an in-person atmosphere.

“Quite simply, Chefs of the Burbs is a fun event to pull the community together to contribute to the many charities supported by the Rotary Club of Blue Bell,” says Bill. To purchase tickets for the event, go to www.chefsoftheburbs.com.
