LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township shared information on recent crime incidents in the township.

These recent crimes occurred between March 27 and April 4.

April 4

  • Attempted Theft from Purse (Wynnewood) - Victim advised that they were approached multiple times by a female actor and was observed unzipping the victim's purse was standing extremely close to the victim. No loss was suffered by the victim and this incident is under investigation.
  • Theft from Purse (Ardmore) - Victim advised that they were approached by 2 different female actors while shopping and that both actors stood extremely close to them. When the victim went to pay they noticed that their wallet was missing from their purse. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

  • Theft from Vehicle (Penn Wynne) - Victim's unlocked Ford was gone through sometime in the past few days while parked along the street in front of the victim's residence. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

April 2

  • Theft from Vehicle (Bryn Mawr) - Victim's unlocked Cadillac was gone through in the overnight hours while parked in the driveway. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

March 31

  • Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that someone entered their unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the vehicle during the overnight hours while parked along the street. It does not appear as if anything is missing at this time. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

March 29

  • Theft of Vehicle (Penn Wynne) - Victim's Ford was stolen in the overnight hours after being parked along the street in front of the residence. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

March 28

  • Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim's Infiniti was stolen overnight from the parking garage of their apartment complex. Broken glass was discovered in the spot where the vehicle was last parked. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
  • Theft of Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Victim's Ford was stolen from the driveway of their residence in the overnight hours. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

March 27

  • Theft from Vehicle (Gladwyne) - Victim had a passenger side window of their vehicle broken out while parked at a local dog park. A backpack and wallet were stolen from the interior of the vehicle. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
