Police said they took someone into custody after they pointed a replica air soft gun at a person during an argument over parking.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion have released details on recent crimes in the township.

These incidents occurred between June 17 and June 22.

June 22

  • Theft of Vehicle (Merion Station) - Victim reported that their unlocked Honda was stolen from the driveway in front of their house in the overnight hours. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
  • Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Witness observed an unknown actor attempting to enter multiple cars which were parked along the street. Actor entered one of the vehicles and was later taken into custody. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
  • Assault (Belmont Hills) - Actor taken into custody after pointing a replica air soft gun at the victim after a dispute over parking. Investigation into this incident is continuing.
  • Theft from Vehicle (Merion Station) - Victim reported that overnight a actor was observed trying to enter their vehicles parked in the rear driveway of their residence. No apparent loss at this time. The investigation is continuing.
  • Graffiti (Ardmore) - Multiple stop signs were located with Anti-Israel graffiti located on them. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

  • Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that their Infiniti was stolen from the parking lot of their apartment complex in the overnight hours. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

June 20

  • Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that she rented her vehicle out through an app and the renter failed to return the vehicle. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

June 17

  • Theft of Bicycle (Wynnewood) - Victim reported that their specialized bicycle was stolen off of their front porch in the overnight hours. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
