LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion released details on recent crimes in the township.

These incidents occurred between June 26 and July 7.

July 7

Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that their Honda was stolen overnight from where it was parked along the street in front of the residence. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

July 6

Attempt Theft of Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Security at an apartment complex overheard a car alarm sounding and observed an actor hanging out of the driver's window of a Chevrolet. When confronted, the actor fled through the parking garage. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Theft of Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Victim reported that their Infiniti was stolen from the parking lot of their apartment complex in the overnight hours. Broken glass was discovered in the parking space where the Infiniti had been parked. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

July 3

Theft from Vehicle (Penn Valley) - Victim reported that the catalytic converter was removed from under their vehicle in the overnight hours while parked along the street in front of their residence. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Attempt Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that their Dodge had the driver window broken out and the cover to the electronic control board removed. The victim parked their vehicle in the apartment garage and the attempted theft occurred overnight. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

June 30

Theft of Vehicle (Ardmore) - Victim's Infiniti was stolen in the overnight hours while parked along the street, a few doors down from their residence. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

June 29

Burglary (Villanova) - Victim advised that they were notified by their security system of movement on their cameras. When the victim reviewed the camera they noticed that on June 28th two actors were seen at the rear of their residence attempting to open doors and windows. No entry was gained into the residence. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that their unlocked Subaru was stolen from the driveway of the residence in the overnight hours. A key fob was left inside the vehicle. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Attempt Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that they observed a actor enter their Subaru, which was parked in the driveway of their residence overnight. Two additional neighbors advised that security video showed an actor approach and attempt to enter their Subarus which were parked in the driveway of their residences. The investigation into these incidents are ongoing.

June 28

Theft (Ardmore) - Victim had cash and gift cards stolen from their wallet which had been placed inside a secure locker while working out at a local fitness center. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

June 27

Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Victim reported that their Honda was entered and rummaged through overnight while parked in the driveway of the residence. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

June 26

Burglary (Wynnewood) - A male actor who fled the scene of a traffic stop forced his way into a residence while attempting to elude police. The male was taken into custody during a search of the area. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Burglary (Overbrook Hills) - Victim reported that the front door of their apartment was forced open. Officers discovered damage to the front door of the apartment and heavy ransacking throughout the entire two-bedroom apartment. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Theft (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim advised that their secure locker had the lock cut and items stolen from within the locker while working out. The investigation is continuing.
