City Ave Lane Closing This Week For Pedestrian Bridge Work

PennDOT said the St. Joe's project will force a portion of northbound City Avenue to full closed through Monday next week.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Ongoing work as part of St. Joseph’s University's pedestrian bridge project will force a lane closure for a week, PennDOT said.

Construction on the project is closing a portion of the northbound lane of City Avenue/U.S. 1 between 59th Street and Lapsley Lane.

The right lane closure will be in effect from Monday, April 1 through Monday, April 8.

Work on this may also take place on Saturday and Sunday if needed by the contractor.

And next week, PennDOT said the left lanes on City Avenue in both directions will be closed 24/7 due to the work.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
