Here’s Why Ella Was Shouted Out As A Lower Merion Star Student

We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's a local resident who is having an impact in Lower Merion.

(Joy)

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Joy who nominated Ella, 10th grade, of Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood.

How do you know the star local student?

Child

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Although Ella is involved in many school activities such as Build ON and student council, and Ronald McDonald house, which all involve volunteering her time to help others, she also gives much of her time out of school to help others in our community. She volunteers with JCFS and packages food on Sundays for those in need. She is involved in the Diller Fellowship program that will allow her to complete a passion project involving helping to feed those in need.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Ella doesn’t think just about herself, she is always thinking about those around her and ways she can help them.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Ella!
