Here’s Why Muriel Was Shouted Out As A Lower Merion Area Star Student

We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one who is having an impact in Lower Merion Township.

(Alyssa Forgione)

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Alyssa Forgione who nominated Muriel, 12th Grade, Harriton High School, of Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Muriel is a partner on our Unified Bocce team & is an integral part of our team. She has never missed a practice & has shown great leadership through kindness, openness, & understanding. She takes initiative in finding solutions, while keeping the atmosphere fun. Academically, Muriel is focused & studies hard for her advanced courses, which is rather important to note, but I want to highlight her tenderness: a quality that the world needs now more than ever.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Muriel is kind, smart, & humble, all while being a good friend to all.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Muriel!
