Home Prices In 2 Main Line Neighborhoods See Rapid Growth: Study

A new study from media organization Stacker examined rising home prices in Pennsylvania. Bryn Mawr and Wynnewood were in the top 10.

LOWER MERION, PA — Two neighborhoods in the Lower Merion area have rapidly increasing home prices, according to a new study.

Media organization Stacker used Zillow data on home prices to find out how the state's real estate demographics have fluctuated over the past year.

Specifically, the report zeroes in on the cities in Pennsylvania with the fastest growing home price.

The overwhelming bulk of cities with the fastest growing prices are in the greater Philadelphia area, which has 32 cities in the top 50.

And among the top 10 places with home prices going up were Bryn Mawr and Wynnewood.

Bryn Mawr was ranked at No. 2 for places with the highest home prices.

According to the study, the average home value in Bryn Mawr is $840,824.

That's a one-year price change of $78,252, or a 10.3 percent increase.

And Wynnewood came in at No. 8.

The study says average home prices in Wynnewood are $706,191, which represent a one-year price change of $60,592, or a 9.4 percent increase.

Nearby, Narberth was ranked No. 11 with an average home price of $738,890, which is up 8.7 percent over a year.

Ardmore was ranked No. 48, as well.

The study reports the average home price in Ardmore is $457,867, up 9.5 percent over a year.
