How Much Rain Fell In The Lower Merion Area Sunday And Monday?

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Merion Township area saw quite a bit of rain Sunday night into Monday morning, with more than 3 inches falling in some areas.

The National Weather Service updated its rainfall totals from the recent storm Monday morning.

According to the newest totals, 3.29 inches of rain were observed by a member of the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow (CoCoRaHS) Network in Ardmore at 8 a.m. Monday.

In Merion Station, a CoCoRaHS member recorded 3.2 inches, also at 8 a.m.

3.11 inches were recorded in Penn Wynne at 7 a.m., 3.09 inches in Bala Cynwyd at 5:28 a.m. by the Citizen Weather Observer Program, and 2.44 inches in Rosemont at 9:34 a.m. by an UrbaNet weather stations.

In Montgomery County, Willow Grove saw the most rain, with 3.64 inches reported by a trained spotter at 8:29 a.m.

In the five county region, Thornton in Delaware County had the highest total at 3:76 inches, which was recorded at 5:28 a.m. by the Citizen Weather Observer Program.
