Lower Merion Jewish Center Becoming A Reality: Report

Officials want the center to improve Montgomery Avenue's "walkability" as part of the conditions of approval.

BALA CYNWYD, PA -- A Jewish family center is progressing closer and closer to reality in Bala Cynwyd, according to a report.

The Lower Merion Township Building and Planning Committee approved several conditions for the proposed center, which would be located at the corner of Montgomery and Parsons Avenue, according to Main Line Media News.

The building currently there is run-down.

The center, which would provided services to the community, has four satellites, including one in Elkins Park and three in Philadelphia, the report states.

Officials said that one of the conditions of approving the center was that the construction would improve the area’s “walkability,” the report states, with some citing the need for sidewalks in the area.
